UCC Rixos Employee CampsUCC Rixos Employee Camps

UCC Holding's Rixos Hotel project in Karrada runs three accommodation camps for its workforce, each home to more than 500 people. For residents, the network is what a shift ends with: calls home, streaming, messaging, time that belongs to them. The Journey was brought in to design that network from the ground up and to keep it running — starting with a full site survey and a Wi-Fi coverage plan drawn around how the camps are actually laid out and lived in.

The Journey delivered the network design and the coverage plan, then built the infrastructure across all three camps in two weeks. The build is deliberately multi-vendor — Cisco, Ubiquiti UniFi, MikroTik and Ruijie — each platform used where it fits best rather than forcing one product line into every role, from routing and switching through to access points spread across the residential blocks and common areas. Alongside the infrastructure, The Journey supplies the internet service itself and the ongoing network support: monitoring, maintenance and on-site response. That service has been running for two years and continues today.
